INPS 2021 call

Also this year,  INPS (National Institute for Social Security),  the main entity of the Italian public retirement system, has published several calls to allow Italian students to live a learning experience abroad.

The first call is for Study Stays aimed at achieving the certification of the level of knowledge of the language according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) 2020 and is aimed at offering students attending in 2020/2021 the second, third, fourth or the fifth year of secondary school, a contribution to partially cover the expenses for taking a language course abroad aimed at obtaining certification of the level of knowledge of the language B2, C1, or C2, issued by the competent certification bodies.

The course must have a minimum duration of 3 weeks and a maximum of 5 weeks, provide for compulsory attendance for the equivalent of at least 20 hours (60 minutes) per week in total, and take place in the foreign country in which the official language is that of the course, which must take place in the period between June and 6 September 2021.

The INPS recognizes 1,170 contributions and the maximum amount of each contribution is € 3,900.00 in total, broken down as follows:

– up to a maximum of € 300.00 per week for the cost of the language course including the exam to obtain certification;

– up to a maximum of € 400.00 per week for the accommodation (board and lodging);

– up to a maximum of € 400.00 for the return journey

Another call published by INPS is that of Estate Inpsieme Abroad

This call is aimed at offering upper secondary school students the opportunity to live a study experience abroad during the 2021 summer season in the months of June, July and August.
It will be possible to organize study stays abroad in European and non-European countries, at colleges, foreign campuses and facilities reserved for students, or tourist facilities, and is aimed at studying a foreign language

The INPS recognizes no. 25,430 contributions and the maximum amount of each contribution is € 2,000.00.

Both applications must be sent by the applicant by 12.00 on 13 April 2021.

As the National Social Security Institute had already specified, the beneficiaries  of the INPS scholarships in 2020 will be granted the opportunity to spend their scholarship in the summer of 2021.
