3 Reasons Why Your Agent Relationship Isn’t Working Out

Obviously, not every agent relationship you establish will work out the way you’ve imagined in your head. No matter if you visit networking events or do thorough research, sometimes even the best efforts don’t result in a solid new partnership. So, what are the main reasons for that?

Let’s find out today!

Reason #1: Profiles do not match

Sometimes it is just that simple: if a university known for engineering approaches an agency that specialises in arts, the partnership would not be the most successful one.

Reason #2: Poor management

If the agency is not properly managed, this will be evident through its communication. The emails might remain unanswered and calls unreturned. Signs of poor management will not lead you anywhere later on.

Reason #3: Unrealistic expectations

Imagine that the university wants to gain a large number of international students from a specific region who want to study law. The agency sometimes cannot fulfil this request, because there are just not enough students that would be interested. That is why we always suggest to discuss the possibilities thoroughly and openly.

Can you add anything to this list? When and why did your relationship with agents not work out? We will be happy to learn more about your experience!
